OK, so cubing w/ a 4-month old in your arms may not be the best idea to begin with, but I don’t always have a choice. So, when an inner-layer cube popped out of my V-Cube 6×6, I was a bit worried. I heard two pieces fall to the floor, but only found one and I figured all was well. It was not. Having missed an integral piece, a few moments later, things didn’t seem all too well. Several turns and PSHHHHH…I heard of these cubes exploding but I’d never experienced it. What a mess! Finding the pieces turned out to be harder than reassembling the cube. I’m glad I’d already solved the centers. Got a bit lucky there.

Now to learn two-look OLL.
