New 6×6 Record: 16:25.27

This is actually only the second time I’ve completed a 6×6 in one sitting. My first timed run was near half an hour and every subsequent run ended with pieces popping out everywhere. I found a method to keep them in. This compromises your time, but let’s face it, I’m never going to be a speed cuber on a 6×6 (or any other, really). So…at work, a free period, started up and 16-and-a-half minutes later, done! It was definitely fun. My breakdown was typical, really. 8 minutes or so for the centers, 5 for the edges and 3 for the rest. Why 3 minutes on the end? Mostly just because I can’t do any of that fast and I’m always holding pieces to avoid them popping out.

I suppose a sub-15 minute run would be a new goal…but for now, I’m happy shaving 13 minutes from my prior record! 😀
